Poster- Medusa Has Another Side

This copy of my original Mono Print "Medusa has another side" was inspired by something I overheard in a bookstore. She was going on about Medusa's image and the "alternate" story. Where instead of Athena turning Medusa into a monster out of anger from being raped in her temple. Athena turned the once beautiful Medusa into a monster with the power to protect herself against men. An interesting take and brings her more clout in the modern world. Hell, it's all made up anyway might as well change the narrative right? I have always been fascinated by Medusa. One of the first images I cut into a block,  an ever-lasting image that won't grow old or out of style. 

Mono-Printing as the name implies is a form of printing that can only be done once. Though my hand-carved blocks can be printed the same, it's the layers and backgrounds that make this type of art so unique. 

The Posters for sale are copies of those originals. I use a local small printing shop in town. They use high-quality ink and card stock paper.
